I was cranking along for my exhibition on the 27th September at Tactile ARTS, BUT UNFORTUNATELY HAVE HAD TO PULL THE SHOW DUE TO ILLNESS
NECK INJURY. XRays & CT scans have revealed a probable protusion of the C5/C6 disks. Extremely painful and many sleepless nights over the last few weeks, but am finally on some very strong pain killers. Pain relief is very welcomed, but also makes me incredibly drowzy zzzz. Not allowed to drive either so all in all is making it difficult to work at full capacity!
I have put in a submission with Tactile Arts to rechedule the show for end of May next year. (Am just waiting on the dates to be confirmed.) I simply didn't want to compromise the quality of work. Despite being a very difficult decision I feel it for the best long term.
Now taking a big step back to get treatment and allow my body to heal. (Have to admit it's quite nice to read a book again.) I will however still be attending the SALTWATER CRAFT FAIR down at The Waterfront on Sunday 29th Sept where I will be selling my cards and prints on canvas because l already had those all in order for the show : )
Cheers Marnie Jay
PS Like to say thanks to my beautiful husband for taking such good care of me, particularly in the middle of the night when I've been in agony. To my Mum for taxiing me around to doctors etc. And to my dearest most wonderful friends who have sent messages of love and in particular those who have dropped off care packages. The yummy meals were so unexpected and really have helped. xxx
