DINGOES

I often get asked about why I paint dingoes? It's because of this stunning dingo called Kira who became my best friend.

There is something very special about dingoes. Their intelligence and soulfulness is captivating. So proud and independent too; I would always laugh when we'd go walking, because she would cruise along about a 100m or so away from me. She had a quirky trait of rock climbing?? Other traits of a dingo is how they "speak" and howl rather than bark like domestic dogs. She could rotate her massive ears in a most peculiar way and was one of the best judges of human character I have ever known.  I see dingoes as the wolves of Australia.

I was completely grief struck when she passed away. My husband came home with a stretched canvas. Handing it to me he said "I thought this might help with the healing process if you painted her?" I painted and painted dingoes until I started to feel better......She'll forever be in my heart and will continue to live on in my art xxx.
