Howard Springs Primary School Mural

Picture
The aim of this mural is to reflect the environment we live in at Howard Springs, (predominantly woodland & wetlands.) With this project we take a closer look at our flora and fauna because it will not only help us create great art, it will promote understanding, an appreciation and encourage preservation of where we live. We are very proud to be rural after all!

On the bus at The Wildlife Park with my team of 10 budding artists. About to go research and sketch.
* What kind of animals (big and small) would live in a woodland or wetland habitat? What would they eat and need to survive? Would they live in trees, in the hollows of tree trunks, burrow underground or sleep on the ground? What kind of trees and plants would be there? What sort of grasses would grow? Are there any specific types of flowers?
Let's research , sketch and paint!
