Commissions

Commissions take time to produce. A lot of thought goes in to them; they are carefully planned and are specific to each client. Some have taken up to a year or more. I've often had at least 5 on the go.  The biggest commission I've done to date is a 30m x 5m mural. * Currently booked & not taking on any commissions at this point in time.

Examples of Commissions in Progress

This piece was commissioned by Shona for her sister who now lives in New Zealand. She wanted to give her a piece of Australia to remind her of home when she was home sick. Often the scenes I paint I end up wanting to be in. I put as many Aussie animals in as I could without crowding it. I'd never done a wombat before, but it was fun. Somehow he ended up looking a bit like our fat old dog called Woollie who we used to often call "Wombat." Makes me giggle when I look at it.
Teri and her friend used to hang out in Teri's Dad's shed and play in the old cars her Dad used used to do up.  They imagined their names were Freddie and Martha. 2 dogs would hang out in the back, one was black and the other a light brown. The light brown one used to always carry a leaf in it's mouth. They were always off to the 'Fish and Chip' shop. This is a present for her oldest friend on her 50th birthday.
