This week I am commencing KIDS WORKSHOPS at Bird House Studio for the first time. I am keeping them small (no more than 5 in a group.) This way each student has their own work station in my studio and I can give more attention to each student.
I am setting these workshops up as a bit of an bush retreat experience. Coming in early for the 1st session we wander our Land for Wildlife property and look and listen for birds, sketching what we see. We develop these drawings in to paintings with a demonstration of how to build/layer your canvas and showing them various painting effects to add interest/ texture to your scene. All works are signed by the student and I string them so they can take home to hang on your wall. Wooohoo we had a full page spread in the paper on Sunday for June's Art Trail. The next one is Sunday 19th July!
This Sunday 14th June.
